The complete set of times tables worksheets by Kieran Ball
    English | March 31, 2020 | ISBN: N/A | ASIN: B086M2W131 | 86 pages | Rar (PDF, AZW3) | 9.01 Mb

This collection of 72 worksheets contains 2700 practice questions to help pupils of any age master their times tables. The worksheets begin with the simpler times tables (0s, 1s, 2s, 5s and 10s) and gradually add the trickier ones until, by the end of the book, questions from every times table required by the Nation Curriculum is included in the worksheet. These worksheets are perfect for any aged pupil, not just 4 to 11 year olds, but even KS3 and KS4 pupils who wish to improve their mathematical fluency. KS1, KS2, KS3 and KS4 pupils can all benefit from a better grasp of times tables. There are questions related to both multiplication and division, and some of the questions are gap fill exercises requiring the pupil to apply mathematical knowledge and technique in order to get the answer. Having taught maths for fifteen years to pupils aged from 4 to 19, I truly believe that a good foundation of times table knowledge really makes the higher level maths work easier to understand. I've seen pupils doing GCSE and A level maths who struggle to grasp concepts because of a lack of times table mastery. Yet, as soon as they practise and reinforce the times tables, their understanding of the trickier concepts improves dramatically. Knowledge of the patterns and number bonds found in times tables speeds up everything and helps to develop a "mathematical eye". These sheets can be completed daily, but the pupils need not finish an entire sheet each day. I like to make learning times table knowledge a gradual process, which is carried out daily in very short chunks. Just ten questions a day, every day, takes mere minutes to complete, but is enough to make a big impact on mathematical ability. Parents, teachers or the children themselves can mark the work easily since the answers are at the back of the book. This makes them perfect for homeschooling. Happy learning :-)
