The Countess and the Black Boar of Sligo

The Countess and the Black Boar of Sligo by Italo Siddu
Italian | 2009 | ISBN: n/a | 331 pages | PDF | 1.3 MB

Dermot O'Hara, son of the Gore-Booth family's stablehand, has a plan that will change the course of his life and that of the inhabitants of Sligo in Ireland: to hunt down and kill the huge black boar which has been terrorising everyone in the area and which, according to his grandfather, lives right there in the woods of Ben Bulben, the mountain overlooking Lissadell, the Gore-Booth's estate. At the very same time, Constance, the Gore-Booth's young daughter, is becoming aware of the fact that she also wants to hunt down and rid Sligo and the whole of Ireland of their number one enemy: the English, whose arrogant and violent ways were humiliating and oppressing the descendants of the ancient and proud Celts. Inevitably, despite their so very different backgrounds, the paths of these two young people will cross and they will be united in a duplicate endeavour with so much in common.
