At first, she thinks it's just another noise that have shaken her awake. It won't be the first time she's woken up in the middle of the woods because some curious creature had snuck up to her tent in the middle of the night.


Except this creature has somehow managed to unzip her tent and wrap its hand around her ankle, slowly pulling her out.


It must have realized that she had startled awake when she makes a loud noise of distress, kicking out in panic.


The world is suddenly upside down.


She manages a shocked yelp as the ground rushes away from her and she's yanked up by her leg, the blackness of night swallowing her vision.


Fear pulses in her veins and it is more than a little disorienting when she is held upside down by her assailant.


It must be a bear. No other creature would be big enough to lift her like this so easily.


Blood rushes to her head in her position and it takes a moment for her vision to clear up well enough that she can see where she is, but seeing doesn't make things any easier. If anything, she is even more confused by what exactly she's being held up by.


At first, she thinks it's just a mess of shadows, a trick of the light making the creature look like it has more limbs than anatomically possible, but that's just her brain trying to make sense of the monster she's seeing.
