    Steve "Woz" Wozniak ist der wohl legendärste Computer-Ingenieur aller Zeiten. Er ist der Erfinder des Apple I - des ersten Personal Computer überhaupt - und gründete 1977 mit Steve Jobs die Apple Computer Corporation. "Vielleicht fragen Sie sich, warum ich meine Memoiren erst jetzt geschrieben habe. Das bin ich von vielen Menschen gefragt worden. Es gibt viele Gründe, warum ich es nicht getan habe. Der Wichtigste: ich hatte zu tun, einfach zu viel zu tun. (…) Dieses Mal ist es anders. Heute - ich bin mittlerweile 54 - ist es an der Zeit, einiges klarzustellen. Vieles, was über mich erzählt wird, ist falsch. Deshalb begann ich Bücher über Apple und über die Entwicklung des Unternehmens aus tiefsten Herzen zu hassen. Da gibt es beispielsweise Geschichten, dass ich das College abgebrochen hätte - das stimmt nicht - oder dass ich von der University of Colorado geflogen wäre - stimmt auch nicht -, das Steve und ich in der High School Klassenkameraden gewesen wären - wir waren einige Jahrgänge auseinander -, und dass Steve und ich diese ersten Computer gemeinsam konstruiert hätten - auch das stimmt nicht, ich habe sie allein gebaut.
