- Students will learn and Practice how to Read, Write, Pronounce & Transliterate the letters of Devanāgarī lipi (script), Vowels and Consonants (Svaras and Vyañjanas) of Devanāgarī script, the script in which Saṃskṛta is written.- Students will learn to Read, Write, Pronounce & Transliterate letters, words, verses, prose in any text of Saṃskṛta.- Students will be able to recognize each and every letter of the Devanāgarī script in text.- Students will be able to reproduce by writing and pronouncing each and every letter of the Devanāgarī script.- Saṃskṛta is written in Devanāgarī Lipi (script), this course will have a basic understanding and practice of Sthāna (place) of the sound production of the Devanāgarī Akṣaras (Letters).- Chanting and practice of reading, writing, Pronouncing & Transliterating a few words, mantras and Ślokas etc.- Chanting of a few a few Mantras.- Chanting of a few Pātañjalayogasūtras.- Chanting of a few Ślokas of ŚrīmadBhagavadGītā.- Chanting of a few Stotras.- This Course will have will begin with simple rules of Saṃskṛta. We will have the knowledge of the Saṃskṛta Akṣaras (letters) and how to read, write, pronounce and transliterate them. The sound production process of Saṃskṛta is very smooth flowing process. It flows like a waterfall or like a river following natural inclination for movement. It is the travel of the prāṇa from in to out. The contact of different parts of mouth, tongue, teeth, lips and nasal cavity creates the sounds. We will concentrate on learning the letters and words properly.- Basic understanding and practice of Sthāna / place of the sound production of the Saṃskṛta Akṣaras:o ‘Kaṇṭhaḥ’ - Guttural sounds,o ‘Tālu’ - Palatal sounds,o ‘Mūrdhā’ - Retroflexes,o ‘Dantaḥ’ - Dentals,o ‘Oṣṭhaḥ’ - Labials,o Nāsikā - nasals,o Kaṇṭhatālu - Guttural - Palatal sounds,o Kaṇṭhoṣṭham - Guttural - Labial sounds,o Dantoṣṭham - Dental - Labial sounds etc.- This program is purported to help in learning Saṃskṛta as per the Śāstra (the original traditional ways), thereby leading to their grasping.- And, to make original Saṃskṛta texts modern-student-friendly without violating the traditional Vyākaraṇa(grammatical) norms and rules.- This Course is purported to help in initiation into reading, writing, pronouncing, reciting, chanting and transliterating Saṃskṛta as per the Śāstra, thereby leading to their understanding, with a view to make it simple and render the Śuddha-pāṭha (the correct text).- To bring the participants close to the original Saṃskṛta Śāstra and help in making friends with it.
