Robot Positioning and Control

What you'll learn
This course has been designed for every person who is passionate to learn about robotics. This course is a walkthrough in the world of Robotics and extends from beginner to advance levels. Core concepts of Robotics explained in a crisp and lucid manner. By the end of this entire module, you will be aware of different kinds of industrial robots, various sensing and locomotion mechanisms and finally, learn to develop mathematical models for positioning and controlling these robots. The following topics would be covered every week:
1. Introduction to Robotics:This lecture is all about starting our journey to learn robotics. A brief introduction to robotics. We would also discuss Jargons used in robotics and Anatomy of a Robot.
2. Types of Robots: We would expand the horizons of our learning to understand the various robots used in industries. Robot used in assembly such as SCARA ,PUMA and the programming techniques used in reality would be discussed
3. Homogeneous Transformations:Ever pondered on "How do we position the robots?" Then this lecture is the beginning to know all about positioning. We would learn how to build Homogeneous Transformation Matrix and also study frames for Current Axis Rotation, Fixed Axis Rotation and Rotation about any Axis.
4. Forward Kinematics: From this lecture onwards we will begin to dive into the Mechanical aspects of a robot and learn how robots are positioned
5. Inverse Kinematics: Solutions to the most obvious thought we have while controlling a robot. By how much should the arms of a robot rotate or translate to reach to a point
6. Control Systems and Modelling: The mathematics behind controlling physical systems having mechanical, electrical and hydraulic properties
7. Automatic Control Signals: What kind of electrical signals need to be generated to control a robot or any integrated systems having mechanical and electrical features
8. Controllability and Observability: Entails the aspects of a control system to be controllable and observable
9. Sensors: Insight into various types of sensors that are used in the Robotics and Automation industry.
10. Actuators: The devices used to provide motion to the robot control system
Requirements
Although any passionate person who has the curiosity would find this course easy to grasp. Having an engineering background would make this course more relatable
