Princess Nancie

Princess Nancie has a lot of power. She doesn’t recognize this, until she realizes that she has the power to tell everyone to do away with the rules. Princess Nancie shows us to be careful what we wish for. When Nancie gets tired of being told what to do at home, she makes a proclamation so that she can get people to stop telling her what to wear and what to do. When she announces to the kingdom that there will be no more rules, she doesn’t think of the consequences this will wreak on the town.

First, her butlers and the maids leave her hungry and alone. When she looks beyond the palace walls, the kingdom is in chaos. The crowd’s joyful freedom turns into cars driving every which way, garbage strewn about, and general unrest. Almost as soon as she declares absolute freedom, she returns to palace balcony to announce “things around here have gotten awful nuts. We have got to have rules, but with a few cuts.” Will the crowd turn around and cheer, or will they prefer to continue in their irresponsible bliss? Read this book and teach your child the value of finding a balance when it comes to making and obeying rules.

Princess Nancie gets Dressed

Anyone who has, or has had, a four-year old daughter will adore Princess Nancie gets Dressed. In this story, Princess Nancie’s mother gives Nancie a chance to get dressed all on her own. Princess Nancie is so

preoccupied by putting on her clothes that she doesn’t pay much attention to the colors or patterns of the clothes she puts on.

She masters the act of dressing, which makes her mother proud, but she needs a few tips on making things match. Watch these two light-hearted characters remind you of how hard it can be to learn something on your own. Laugh together with your child over Nancie’s accomplishment and mistake at the same time.

When Princess Nancie and her mother are finally ready to go out, they realize that Princess Nancie is not the only one having trouble getting dressed that day.

Princess Nancie Cannot Wait for the Ball

Princess Nancie is so excited, there is a big party at the castle tonight

But the party doesn’t start for many hours

Princess Nancie is getting very antsy, her arms are feeling dancy, and her feet are quite prancy. She really wants the Ball to start right away. She tries to sit on a chair and she tries to take a walk, but she just can’t wait! Princess Nancie is so jumpy she knocks over the 999 suits of armor that line the castle’s main hallway.

So Nancie cleans up her mess and because she is doing something else and her mind is off the dance, time starts to pass. Before she knows it the Ball has started!

Princess Nancie learns a useful strategy for waiting and being anxious about something.

Your kids will learn that even Princesses have to clean up their messes.

The story teaches young children about the work/life balance. When your work is done it is time to have fun.

Buy this story and read it with your little princes and princesses tonight!
