Description
The relationships between parents and children matter. Parenting is one of the most rewarding and challenging jobs we ever take on in our lives. It is also one of the most under-appreciated and undervalued jobs of all time.Everyone expects parenting to come naturally with no training, it's challenging enough when the baby arrives home and you have to just get on with it, no midwife or ward nurses to help you now! You are on your own. It's even more challenging when your children shout, scream & fight on a daily basis. You find yourself screaming and yelling yourself as the sibling rivalry becomes a daily power struggle. As parents, we shape the lives of our children and prepare them for adulthood, hopefully, we do a good job, teaching, mentoring and being positive role models. We as parents strive to support our children to have a good moral compass who grow up to be happy, emotionally secure and successful. It makes sense then, that effective parenting skills are fundamentally important to help us parents be the best version of ourselves as we shape the lives of our children and the adults of the future. That being said it is no plain sailing in this parenting life, we feel like a referee overseeing our child's tantrums, lack of cooperation, the drama between siblings, the power struggles, yelling, and negative behaviours all whilst dealing with our own inner emotions and challenges; we parents strive to create a calm and happy home life and its not easy.Parenting although the best job and worst job rolled into one we wouldn't be without our kids.A family home can be chaotic, frantic, hectic, overwhelming, challenging and exhausting but it can also be a calm, happy, fun, loving, safe and secure place to live with our family. We parents often make mistakes, sometimes we get it right and sometimes we get it wrong. It's trial and error in this parenting role unless we find strategies that have worked for others that we can implement into our parenting style to help our children manage their emotions and find solutions together with their siblings. We can sometimes overmanage by controlling, placing unrealistic expectations on our children from a young age, dictating, lecturing, yelling, nagging, criticising, threatening and punishing. On the other hand, we can overindulge our children, for an easy life by giving in, or we take sides expecting our older child to know better and the younger child learns to manipulate to get the upper hand, we often label our children's behaviour negatively which causes more animosity and power struggles between you and your children.Hopefully, you will love this course from the beginning to the end and will finish with a toolbox of practical steps and techniques that will work for you and for children from toddler to teen.In this course, I teach how to make small changes to your behaviour and model good behaviour to your children, and implement steps to reduce the frequency of sibling battles so that everyone can live in harmony. What you can expect in this course:* Short & snappy video lectures.* Practical exercises* 30+ years of experience working with children & parents* Professionally Registered Therapist*Child Educator*Adult Teacher*Stress Management & Wellbeing Mindset Coach*Course Creator & Instructor.#ParentingCourse #Parents #PositiveParenting #ChildBehaviour #ParentingTips #ParentingSkills #ParentingStrategies #ParentingTraining #ParentingSupport
