Don't worry as THIS COURSE IS FOR YOU!This course will expose you to a software specific to Minerals industry with embedded mineral processing unit operations like Crushers, SAG Mills, Ball mills, Screens, Hydrocyclones etc. which are not found in other simulation softwares like ASPEN PLUS, ASPEN HYSYS, and DWSIM.In this course, students will be equipped with practical skills and knowledge of how to perform successful simulation studies of real world scenarios using JK-Simmet software. If you enroll in this course, you won’t miss the hands-on appreciation of using JK-Simmet simulator as well as understanding the best practices of performing successful metallurgical simulation studies. If you are new to process modeling and simulation in metallurgical operations, don’t worry anymore we have you covered, this course will first introduces you to the basics of mineral process simulation, followed by a series of step-by-step practical demonstrations. In recent years there has been a great deal of interest in ways to optimize the performance of mineral processing plants. The area of process analysis which has been most important for the mineral industry in the optimization of existing operations, both at steady-state and dynamically.In order to accomplish this optimization a variety of steady-state and dynamic models had to be developed for individual unit operations and overall plant performance. In turn these models had to be incorporated into computer packages like JKSIMMET which are user friendly enough to be useful to mineral processing engineers.Such softwares forms a powerful tool for the plant metallurgist to analyze and optimize the configuration of a current circuit. Simulation technology is very useful for new plant design, allowing any number of plant configurations to be compared rapidly.In this Course we are going to explore JKSimMet Mineral Process Simulator demonstrating how mass balancing, circuit simulation and circuit modelling.
