The story explains the lightning campaign of IV Corps under Lt Gen Sagat Singh. This won the fastest victory in the annals of war worldwide in less than two weeks. It was between the well-balanced forces of India and Pakistan, before an intrusive intervention by countries inimical to India in the United Nations Security Council.
This story is also a dedication to the people of what was then East Pakistan. Their sufferings led to the war, and without their proactive support, sacrificing life and limb for their freedom from tyranny, this war could not have been won so quickly. So it is their story, too.
