Description
Hello,Welcome to the online learning of "Manufacturing Processes or techniques"Start Manufacturing Processes to learn the basics of metals, alloys and various manufacturing techniques used in industries. The field of manufacturing continues to evolve with each passing year. The advent of new processes, tools and equipment allows manufacturing companies to produce products more efficiently. In other words, advanced manufacturing integrates technological processes into manufacturing to assist companies in their efforts to produce products more efficiently. In this course, we will cover the following topicsBasics of Metal and AlloysBasics of Metal forming and Casting ProcessMachiningPlantProductionMaterial HandlingConveyorsIn machining, we use a machine tool like a lathe or shaper and a cutting tool made of a much harder material than the material of the part to be machined.Material removed from the part is achieved by the relative movement between the cutting tool and the part. The cutting tool is given a sharp cutting edge and it is forced to penetrate inside the workpiece surface to a small depth. We also learn about Material handling at the end of the section:IMPORTANCE OF MATERIAL MANAGEMENT:1. The material cost content of total cost is kept at a reasonable level.2. The wastage of materials at the phase of storage as well as transportation is kept under control.3. The inventory of materials is prompt and late delivery is reduced to a greater extent.4. By taking control of investments in materials, overstocking is averted.5. Stoppages at different stages of manufacturing are avoided.See you in the Course!
