This book is part of the World War Two Fact Files series which dates back to the 1970s, which would look at various types of weapons (anti-aircraft guns, anti-tank weapons, light and medium field artillery, to name some other examples from the series) and give specifications, an illustration or two, and a short capsule history. As such, if you want a book to give you all you want to know about the MG42, for example, forget it - this will only give you a small entry. However, it will show you weapons that you may not otherwise have ever heard about. In the case of weapons that were used by the Germans after capture or the takeover of production facilities, they will give the German designation. In its own way, this is a useful basic guide book on the subject.
