They are soft and can be applied using various sponges to your pastel paper. They are a looser medium and you can create beautiful impressionistic paintings with them. When you have finished this course not only will you walk away with 2 AMAZING paintings but you will also be able to apply what you have learnt to paint your own pictures.MaterialsThe PanPastel set I use is the 10 Painting Set of PanPastels. It has a sandpaper like texture and if you don't have this you can use another similar textured paper like UART 800 Grade Paper.I also use Pastel Pencils to add some additional detail.
