Description

If you’ve ever wanted to dive deep into the unconscious mind, or if you’ve ever found yourself wondering what one of your dreams REALLY means, this course is for you..Hollitown’s Freud Course introduces the student to the world renowned theories of Sigmund Freud. The theories covered include Psychoanalytic Theory of Personality, Psychosexual Stages of Development, Defense Mechanisms, and Dream Theory.The course runs 4 weeks with at least one theory video and one quiz per week. There is also a course booklet included to help students keep themselves organized.Students are strongly encouraged to fully engage with the course material by learning all theory vocabulary and by applying theory to the real world every week. If this work is done well, students will learn to catch a glimpse into the unconscious mind and will be able to analyze dreams.Student Learning Outcomes:1. Mastery of the basic vocabulary for the 4 theories covered.2. Working knowledge of the basic concepts of each theory.3. An understanding of the ways in which the sub-theories fit into the over-arching model.4. If the student processes all material as directed, s/he will be able to perform basic dream analysis by the end of the course.
