    La vita della comunità di Deir el Medina, fatta di carriere, incarichi, successori e gerarchie di lavoro, venne occasionalmente oscurata dal rinvenimento di quello che è chiamato Papiro Salt 124. Si tratta della copia, molto più probabilmente della minuta, di una denuncia contro Pa-nebi sporta dal membro della squadra Amon-nekhet.
    In un linguaggio e con una impostazione tipicamente amministrativa, il documento elenca tutta una serie di misfatti, alcuni di estrema gravità, che sono stati commessi dal caposquadra Pa-nebi. Molto probabilmente lo si tollerava a causa della sua posizione di responsabilità.
    Pa-nebi sembra una persona particolarmente violenta perché sono molte le occasioni per le quali viene accusato di malmenare i subordinati. Inoltre sono citate situazioni per le quali ha rapporti sessuali con altre donne del villaggio sebbene fossero tutte maritate. Il linguaggio non precisa se si tratti di azioni consenzienti, ma almeno in un caso lo stupro è ben chiaro.
