Even though empathy and user centricity has been the crux of Design Thinking and UX Design, the need for user research or UX research has often been debated upon for a variety of reasons, like lack of time or just wanting to push through an ‘idea’ quickly.And let us say, we do decide to conduct UX research before product/ service development. How do we ensure the effectiveness of such activity? How do we know if it will yield the best results and actionable insights?Some pointers to think about-Are we speaking to the right users?Are we asking the right questions?Are we using the right tools for the proposed research goals?What can we do with this information?About course:This course is designed for UX designers, researchers, students and aspirants who want to develop a deep understanding of how to plan and execute effective UX research studies to understand users' mental models and behaviors within a particular context. The course will provide an overview of UX research methods and will focus on both primary and secondary research techniques.Students will learn how to define research goals, identify research questions, and develop research plans that align with project objectives. The course will cover various research methodologies, including exploratory and evaluative studiesBy the end of the course, students will have a solid understanding of the principles and practices of conducting UX research, and will be able to apply them to real-world projects and further develop actionable insights that can inform design decisions.
