Description
In this course Manual Osteopath, Registered Massage Therapist and Yoga Teacher Mike Everson is going to guide you through how to deliver a Tok Sen Massage. Tok Sen massage is an ancient northern Thai practice that involves the use of a special wooden hammer, usually made from the bark of the tamarind tree, to relax muscles in a rhythmically tapping motion, 'Tok Sen'. Tok means to hammer or hit and Sen refers to the energetic pathways in the body.During a Tok Sen session, the practitioner will typically tap and vibrate along energy meridians or specific points on the body to help release muscular/fascial tension and improve circulation. The practice is believed to help alleviate physical and emotional blockages, and promote overall health and well-being. Tok Sen is often used in combination with other traditional healing practices in Thailand, such as Thai massage and herbal remedies, and is considered to be an important part of Thai traditional medicine. You can study and complete this entire course in the comfort of your own home with lifetime access to the videos in case you need to go back, review and re-inspire yourself! In this course you are going to learn:> What Tok Sen is and the 10 Sen Lines> Massage techniques for all over the body in prone, supine, seated, side lying and face/scalp> A variety of techniques and reasoning why you would perform them on certain areas> Massage techniques you can apply practically in your everyday Table and Thai massage practiceEnroll now!
