    Description

A 10 module course that highlights issues around child development, welfare and protection. It projects prevalent issues encountered by adolescents (specifically sexual abuse) and provides preventive, management and referral guidelines required to raise wholesome adultsSex sells!! And because of this we are surrounded by images that imply it, and conversations about it almost everywhere we go. (from ads, to social media, to peer conversation, movies, music, sex sells!!Unfortunately our children belong to these environments and, and there isn't much a parent can do to censor what your child hears or sees at different pointsAs parents we do not have control over what our children are exposed to when they step out, we can however prepare them on how to respond to what they are exposed to and this is the reason for sex education.Times are changing, and children have access to information at a much faster rate in history, unfortunately, you cannot hide your child under a cave till they become adults, they grow with this things, and it’s your job to guide them through these information. One of the essential reasons for sex education to be done by parents first is your VALUE SYSTEM, no one can train your child with your values better than you, the school can guide your child to beware of STI’s, while NGO’s and Health Centers can inform your child on sexual abuse and protection tips, but you have the power to guide them wholistically.
