Description
Welcome to this engaging software course on dynamic reservoir simulation using Schlumberger's Petrel RE (Reservoir Engineering) and Eclipse software. Throughout this course, you will gain practical skills and insights into reservoir engineering, equipping you to handle real-life data with confidence. We will kick off by delving into the fundamentals, introducing you to Petrel’s interface and how to set up for your project correctly.Thereafter, you will be introduced to the project data and you will learn how to generate dynamic model inputs, ensuring a solid foundation for subsequent stages. You will Initialize your model and see the values of the calculated fluids in place.Moving forward, you will explore production forecasting, starting with the completion of existing wells and devising prediction development strategies. You will learn to visualize the results of your simulations including a 3D visualization of fluid saturations as they evolve with time.As the course wraps up, you will master how to export your results as images for PowerPoint or text for Excel.Key Prerequisites:To maximize your learning experience, familiarity with reservoir engineering concepts is essential. Prior knowledge of rock and fluid properties, gridding, well completions, and reservoir simulation will facilitate your progress and comprehension throughout the course.
