Solar Energy Basics and Understanding of System working
Description
The course includes designing of solar pv systems, roof estimation, solar pv module orientation, tilt, azimuth, row spacing, shading analysis, inverter selection, stringing arrangement, battery selection, annual energy generation, system summary, losses, financial parameters, incentives, taxes, costs, and etc. The design tool will demonstrate the understanding and working principles of solar pv systems and how the summary proposal is generated for analyzing the data and key features such as ROI payback period, electric bill reduction, savings generated, feed-in tariffs, etc. Furthermore the course is intended for all levels but is mostly targeted for beginners with no solar pv system designing experience. This course will allow the interface of the Open Solar tool along with creation of projects, client data information and handling the project customization for future quotations. The Open Solar does come with a user account creation for personal or business uses along with the calculation of the annual energy consumption for the customer based on their cost of their electricity bill, energy consumption in a monthly basis, etc. In addition, the open solar design tool does come with a 3D feature in some areas of location where one can view the site in 3D through google maps, bing, etc. It also allows the user to place and add various roof shapes, roof dimensions and pitch angle for the roof and adjust the edge spacing for solar pv module designing. Overall the course is intended to include these key designing skills and is adopted in professional organizations and for insights of data and system visualization that adds to your CV/Resume.
