    Orthodontics is the branch of dentistry that specializes in the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of dental and facial irregularities. The technical term for these problems is "malocclusion," which means "bad bite."The results of orthodontic treatment can be dramatic — beautiful smiles, improved dental health and an enhanced quality of life for people of all ages. Orthodontic problems must be diagnosed before treatment begins. Proper diagnosis involves careful study of photographs, x-rays, and dental impressions.Treatment typically lasts from 6 to 30 months, depending on age, and the severity of the orthodontic problem. Outstanding results are also highly dependent on maximum cooperation and coordination of care between you and our practice. We are committed to delivering the best possible service in order for you to achieve your orthodontic goals.In this course your going to learn the tools necessary to diagnose an orthodontic patient and be able to identify the orthodontic problems your patient has. note that this is the most important step of treating an orthodontic patient , as correct diagnosis and problem list creation leads to a correct treatment objectives and treatment plan.you will know the significance of history taking and its significance in treating the orthodontic patient , the importance of age , and how you can predict growth, and growth spurtsyou will also be able to analyze a smile , and learn how you can give a patient an ideal smile using orthodontics , and do's and don'ts for different smiles for an orthodontic patientyou will also learn soft tissue and extra oral analysis as well as cephalometric analysis , and will practice at the end together interpreting lateral cephalometric x-rays and finally will be practicing diagnosing and writing problem lists for various examples of patients.this course is going to be really informative for general dentists , and very helpful for beginner orthodontists.
