Description

Intro to Irish Dance This course is packed with fun and activities to keep your child engaged as they learn to Irish Dance.  This is a great activity to keep children active and moving as they gain an appreciation for dance.  The 11 part course provides instruction for the basic techniques and basic beginner steps for Irish Dance. Interactive characters make it a fun learning experience for young children, narrated by Sparky the Irish Unicorn. Instructor, Peggy Cannon, wears color coded clothing to make it easy to follow and learn the steps. The course includes 11 Lessons with a total run time of 1 hour and 32 minutes. Each lesson will include challenges and activities to keep it interesting for young children.  Students will start by learning the basic building blocks of Irish Dance and will progress to putting it all together into dance steps.  In addition to dance instruction the lessons include a fun warm up, challenges, activities, fun facts about Ireland, easy Irish craft ideas and certificate of completion for each lesson.The lessons are: The Basics, Music, Sideways, Over the Log, Skip, Figure 8, Jig Beginning, Jig Ending, Full Jig, Reel Steps, Jig Steps  Suggested ages 3-9
