    Description

    Learn the techniques required to advance from advanced yellow belt to orange belt in Tang Soo Do, a traditional Korean martial art often referred to as Korean Karate.  Basic stances, punches, blocks, kicks, forms, and self-defense will be taught.  The following curriculum will be covered:Basic Hand Techniques Stationary and Moving: low punch, high punch, center punch, side punch, low block, high block, inside/outside block, outside/inside block, back fits, side block, low knife hand.Basic Kick Techniques Stationary and Moving: front stretch kick, front snap kick, outside/inside kick, inside/outside kick, roundhouse kick, side kick, axe kick, hook kick, and spinning back kick.Forms: Stance Form, Hand Technique Form, Kick Technique Form, World Forms 1, 2, and 3.One Step Sparring: Hand Techniques #1-#5, Kick Techniques #1-#5.Self-Defense: Techniques #1-#5.Combinations: 3 hand technique combinations, 3 kick technique combinations.Strength, endurance, and flexibility training.Traditional class structure, commands, and terminology.No experience necessary although taking Beginner Tang Soo Do Courses Levels 1, 2, and 3, is highly recommended.  Course is taught by Master Steven Elmore, 5th Dan in Tang Soo Do who has taught several Regional and World Champion Tang Soo Do fighters.  Master Elmore is not the most gifted athlete but has had success in sparring competition both as a competitor and a coach using the methods outlined in this course.
