Description
I have designed this course based on my own skills and experiences having worked in the electrical industry for many decades and then in the solar industry during the last then years. This course is aimed at people who are already working in the solar industry but want to know more about how solar farms function and also for people who are looking for a new rewarding career built around the creation and operation of solar farms. The course has six sessions, starting with basic background knowledge and then focusing on how each part of a solar farm such as solar panels, inverters, monitoring systems etc work and how these components are put together. Further on, the sessions deal with the day-to-day management and operation of solar assets, including costs, revenue and expenses (OPEX), people involved in the management of solar farms and interesting developments in the solar industry. Introduction of myself and course. Part 1: What are solar farms?Part 2: How do solar panels and inverters work?Part 3: How is a PV farm constructed and connected to the grid?Part 4: Electricity monitoring, selling and farm operation. Part 5: Asset Management and Operation and Maintenance. Part 6: Future trends and emerging markets.
