The course covers the fundamental concepts of investment banking, including the different types of financial instruments, the principles of valuation, and the strategies used to manage risk.The course begins with an overview of the investment banking industry, including its history, structure, and key players in the market. Students will learn about the different types of investment banks, including commercial banks, boutique firms, and global investment banks. They will also study the role of investment banks in financial markets, including their role in underwriting securities, advising on mergers and acquisitions, and providing financial advisory services.The course then delves into the various financial instruments used in investment banking, including stocks, bonds, and derivatives.
