On this course, you’ll learn the practical basics of working with the Elder Futhark runes. These carved and written signs are the magical alphabet of the ancient Northern world, and we will explore what they are, why they are like that and where the myths say they came from. The course introduces the magical origin of the runes as the sacrifice of the god Odin on the cosmic tree Yggdrasil.You will learn how to make your own simple set of rune-cards, how to imprint the meanings on your consciousness and and how to do divination with them, including how to distinguish between positive and negative meanings of runes in a reading. You will learn rune-galdor - how to sing the runes - and how to use the entire rune-row as a sung blessing.You will learn how to combine runes into bindrunes, each tailored to your own requirements, and how to design your own spells by combining the drawing or cutting of bindrunes with rune-song to create powerful enchantments for any area of your life. You’ll have the opportunity to follow through an example of a runic spell for cultivating healthy behaviours.You will also get suggestions for how to get the best out of the course!
