    R.A.T.E.S is an acronym for five essential areas of development which are Response-ability, Account- ability, Technical-ability, Evaluation-ability and Sustain-ability. Each of these five categories represent standard operational practices that are essential for results oriented, nonprofit, Human Service delivery. Students learn strategies for planning and developing effective non profit Human Service delivery and sustainability.  This course is the second in the 5 part series and covers Account-ability.Accountability is the responsibility of a nonprofit organization to be transparent and transparent in its finances, operations, and decision-making.  Accountability is important for nonprofits because it helps to ensure that they are using their resources effectively and efficiently, and that they are meeting the needs of their constituents.  Accountability is also important for nonprofits because it helps to build trust with their donors, volunteers, and other stakeholders. When donors and volunteers know that their money is being used effectively, they are more likely to continue to support the organization.  There are a number of different ways to demonstrate accountability in nonprofits.  This course will provide students with the skills and knowledge they need to demonstrate nonprofit accountability as they effectively plan, manage, and track projects in a nonprofit setting.   Students should have already completed "How to Build Your Nonprofit Startup 1", which covers RATES Response-ability.   This course is a continuation from the contents and results of assignments that were completed in the "How to Build Your Nonprofit Startup 1" course.  Students will learn how to develop clear goals and objectives, create a project plan, and track their progress.
