    Welcome to the High Jump Fundamentals course, hosted by international decathlete, Martin Brockman.In this course, Martin takes you through everything you need to know to develop an effective high technique with your athletes.With a focus on technical development, throughout the course we'll work through each of the core skills of the high jump, increasing the complexity and improving our knowledge with each module.We'll learn how to develop a basic high jump technique for beginners before moving into the core components of the takeoff, running the curved approach and learning how to create an arch over the bar to perform the Fosbury Flop technique.We'll also learn how to coach in competition, learning to use the jump to make adaptations to the high jump approach and move our athletes into the correct position as the bar rises.Throughout the course, I'll provide you with some of my technical models and coaching resources that you can use with your students and I'll demonstrate some of my favourite drills for you to try with your athletes.I've also included some of my lesson plans for teaching the approach and creating an arch.This course comes from the Complete Track and Field Coach course also available on Udemy.Come and learn from an athlete with a personal best high jump of 2.14m/7ft.I hope you enjoy the course.
