    Description

    Finance is one of the key aspects of any organization function. Every organization, be it government, corporate firm or not-for profit organization needs an adequate plan as regard the provision of funds when necessary to keep alive their business entity. Finance is defined as the way of making funds available as at where and when needed.In this course, you will understand the mathematics of finance; you will be able to conduct effective financial planning, financial analysis and evaluation. You will understand Capital budgeting with certainty, under risk and uncertainty. You will learn core concepts in capital rationing and capital replacement decision, capital budgeting and inflation. You will understand the sources of finance; cost of capital, capital structure, and portfolio theory and dividend policy. You will gain ability to effectively manage a working capital, and manage merger and acquisition program within an organization.You will understand the concept of “Time Value of Money”, how time value of money explains the facts that value of money changes overtime due to inflation rate, risk and uncertainties e.t.c. You will understand how to examine financial data of a firm with a view to having an insight into the performance of the organization.You will learn how organization can develop workable strategies in order to be of continued relevance and to prevent the “going concern” of the organization from being threatened, and how financial planning which entails setting goals and devising ways of attaining such goals can help in implementing the strategies. You will learn how to plan ahead in order to sustain business continuity.
