    Description

    Writing your college admissions essay can be stressful. Luckily, helping students with their college essays is not just my passion; it is my specialty.  In this course: We will debunk the greatest myth about the college essay. We will learn how to THINK  like a college admissions officer in order to impress them. We will learn the three things you need to include in your college essay to stand out to admissions officers. We will analyze TWO college essay examples so that you can see my methods in action. I'll be answering questions like: What should I write my college essay on? What common mistakes should I avoid? What do college admissions officers actually want to read in an essay? Throughout the course, I'll be giving in-depth explanations about the WHY & HOW of college essay success. This course is designed for high school juniors, seniors, and their families who would love to learn more about how to be successful with the college essay. A little more about me: I graduated summa cum laude from Michigan State University with an English degree. When I'm not teaching students like you about the college essay, I'm working with my other students in Detroit, where I am their high school English teacher. I love helping young people reach their potential!
