    Materials needed: 9 x 12 paper or other surface to collage onto, Collage materials (magazines, books, other paper, fabric, vellum, honestly whatever you have will work!) Glue, Scissors, Needle and thread (if sewing, but this is optional)

    In this class, you'll learn how to make a minimal abstract collage.I’m going to walk you through my whole collage process, including how to choose, cut, and arrange fragments, as well as many of my own personal tips!  Take a wander through your home and you can most likely gather all the materials you will need.  Part of the fun working in collage is discovering unique fragments to incorporate (think of little ephemera from your daily life - ticket stubs, receipts, lists, notes).  If you've ever felt daunted by exploring this genre, and unsure of how to get started, then this class is a great place to start.  Strengthen your knowledge of basic art and design skills and explore your own creative preferences.  Relax, experiment, and play in this low-pressure, informative, fun collage art course!What you'll need:9 x 12 paper to collage ontoCollage materials (magazines, books, other paper, fabric, vellum, honestly whatever you have will work!)GlueScissorsNeedle and thread (if sewing, but this is optional)You'll practice developing your own creative languages including:a shape patterna color palettesewing stylesYour piece will be completely unique to you.  Let's get started and learn together!
