Description

This course is for complete beginners and suitable for any size of Accordion, big or small. You may have a tiny one for children with only 8 or 12 bass buttons, it's fine, or you might have a full size 120 bass accordion you've had for years and always wanted to start, that is great as well. Accordions come in all shapes and sizes; some have keys, some don't. In this course you can learn both Piano Accordion AND Chromatic Accordion B-System (bayan), another popular variation, but with buttons on both sides.  Their Left Hand Keyboards (bass keyboards) are identical. In our lessons I will explain to you how to read music scores, how to get good sound from your accordion, and how to practice. I will explain all the necessary musical concepts in a way that is easily accessible to all - the young and the old.  After you've finished this course you will be able to advance in any musical direction you like, because you will have acquired all the necessary performance skills and basic music theory. You will know how to read music for accordion and play well. I can recommend one book for your initial studies. All my beginner students - of all ages and music preferences, studying privately or in different institutions, start with this book; and everyone manages to progress and progress very fast. It is tested by time, used by generations of musicians, a proven resource for the beginners! It is only about 50 pages and not expensive at all. In this beginners' course we will study all the easy pieces from that book. The songs will be easy to play and easy to memorize - they are either old traditional tunes or popular classics. The book is: Book 1 of 'Palmer-Hughes Accordion Course' (It was written for Piano accordion, but I will be playing throughout the course, showing Button accordion students good fingering).Palmer-Hughes Accordion Course. Book 1.  Alfred Publishing Co.ISBN O-7390-1291-6Then, you may continue with more difficult stuff of the same Palmer-Hughes series if you want to - they have at least  another 9 books. Book 10, for example, is of a very Advanced level. I have played all the songs from this series and in fact, recorded almost all of them on YouTube. My channel's name is Yuri Char. So if you want to listen to any of those songs - how they sound, whether you like them or not - welcome to my YouTube channel! (There are many surprises for you - check out Book 6 or Book 7, for example). Feel free to browse another 600 educational videos, and not only about accordion! You might find the book in your local music shop or, more likely - online. But before your book arrives, you can follow this course on your computer screen. So you can push that 'ENROL' button right NOW and start playing today! If you are a complete beginner, and never held an accordion in your hands, it will take between 2 to 10 months to complete this course. That will depend on the amount of time you can dedicate for your accordion studies. But if you manage to finish this course faster than in 2 months, please surprise me with your videos, comments or reviews! I'd like to see more inspired and motivated people like You. If you are already feeling quite motivated, let's begin right Now! You can play accordion, very well, and very soon! I will give you clear instructions in every lesson.  Watch carefully: how I am playing, how I am using the Bellows, which fingers I am using. But remember that we Study by Doing, so don't just watch, grab your instrument and Shine On! Learning should be fun! Try to practice regularly, perfect each song before you move to the next one. Some things could be challenging, I know. We will take it slow, no worries - you can study at your own pace. Think a bit…And I see you soon inside the course! My name is Yuri. I am a professional musician, accordion player, music tutor.
