Hi guys,Thanks for being here!Welcome to my course Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing!In this course, we will start the course by understanding the term money laundering and then go through details and examples of 3 stages of Money Laundering as well as Economic and Social consequences of Money Laundering. The next part is Method of Money Laundering. Then, we will learn about the definition of terrorist financing, the way terrorists raise, move and store funds, methods and risks of abuse as well as emerging risks for terrorist financing. Finally, we will analyze the differences and similarities between money laundering and terrorist financing. Reference Materials are mentioned in the course, which come from Financial Action Task Force (FATF), Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS), U.S. Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), MONEYVAL, Palermo Convention,…During the course, I will explain more about relevant terms like tax evasion, tax avoidance, concentration risk, structuring, smurfing, Black market peso exchange, Hawala, cash-intensive business,…To check your understanding, after most of the concepts, practice questions are included.
