Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4 is the key to what industry experts are calling the new digital workflow. Now you can learn exactly how to get started, and see how it can help you achieve the quickest, easiest workflow imaginable! Matt Kloskowski, NAPP Education and Curriculum Developer and host of the popular Lightroom Killer Tips podcast, walks you through the entire process and shows you how to get the best possible images in record time. In this class, Matt concentrates on two output modules that are geared toward presenting your work on screen. First you’ll learn the step-by-step process for setting up and customizing a professional slideshow presentation that highlights your creativity and the quality of your work. You’ll see how to add music and even save your slideshow as a video so you can share it with everyone. Plus, if you’ve ever wished you had a really efficient way to let your clients, friends, or family view your work on the Web, you’ll find out how in this course.

    Introduction (01:10)
Join Matt for a quick introduction to the material that will be covered in this class.

    Slideshows - Creating a Quick Slideshow (02:15)
Starting with a collection of photos is a great way to get started with creating a slideshow. The pre-packaged templates in the Template Browser provide a really fast way to create a slideshow with a single click.

Slideshows - Customizing your slideshow (06:17)
The templates also make for a convenient starting point for customizing your slideshow the way you want it to look.

Slideshows - Adding opening and closing slides (04:33)
The Titles panel is where you'll find the tools to add a starting and ending slide to your slideshow. Learn how to add text or a graphic to your title slides.

    Slideshows - Adding Music (03:41)
Music can add real emotional impact to your slideshow. Matt shows you how to synchronize a song file to your slideshow and tweak the transition times of your slides to make it all flow together.

Slideshows - Saving Your Slideshow as a Video (01:51)
While you can play a slideshow from within Lightroom that may not always be practical for your needs. Exporting your slideshow as a video saves the entire show, music, transitions and all, in a convenient MP4 file format.

    Slideshows - Emailing a Slideshow as a PDF (02:02)
Exporting a slideshow as a PDF is another option that can come in handy when you don't need to include music or transitions, but want to deliver your slideshow in a compact package.

Slideshows - Showing Slideshows with Dual Monitors (01:29)
If you are using a computer with 2 monitors, you can configure Lightroom to run the slideshow on the second monitor.

Web - Creating a Basic Web Gallery (03:17)
Similar to the slideshow, you can enter the Web module with a collection of photos, choose a template from the Template Browser, and have a web gallery ready to go to the Web.

Web - Customizing your Web Galleries (05:14)
The templates also make for a convenient starting point for customizing your web gallery the way you want it to look.

Web - Add some spice with Flash Galleries (02:05)
There are 2 basic types of web galleries in Lightroom, one is HTML and the other is Flash. Flash galleries are more fun and interactive, but require the Flash plugin to be viewed, and are not supported on all devices. HTML galleries are simple, but work in any web browser.

    Watermarking (02:34)
The Output Settings panel is where you can access the Watermark Editor, which will allow you to add a watermark to all the photos heading to your website.

Web - Getting your Galleries Online (02:01)
Once you've finalized the layout of your gallery it is time to upload it to the web. You can upload directly from Lightroom if you know the username/password information for your web server, or you can export the gallery to a folder on your desktop and hand off all the files to the person in charge of your website.
