    Erik Stinus (1934-2009) var en dansk forfatter, digter, oversætter, redaktør, og anmelder. Som ung gjorde Erik Stinus tjeneste i handelsflåden og fik i den forbindelse lejlighed til at besøge Aden, Pakistan og Indien, hvor han desuden mødte sin hustru. Erik Stinus debuterede i 1958 med digtsamlingen "Grænseland". Sidenhen fulgte en omfattende produktion, af og til i samarbejde med andre forfarttere. Erik Stinus er gentagne gange blevet hædret for sit forfatterskab. I 1979 modtog han Kritikerprisen, i 1981 fik han overrakt Gelsted-Kirk-Scherfig-prisen, i 2005 blev han hædret med Drassows Legat foruden arbejds- og rejselegater fra Statens Kunstfond samt den livsvarige kunstnerydelse.
