Description

Welcome guys my name is Anwer Khan and I will be your instructor throughout this course. In this course we will talk straight to the point. Therefore, we will cover more in less time.An IP address, or Internet Protocol address, is a series of numbers that identifies any device on a network. Computers use IP addresses to communicate with each other both over the internet as well as on other networksSince all devices on the internet communicate using IP addresses, it's no surprise that understanding the fundamentals of IP addressing is a required skill for any IT professional, and in this course, you're going to learn the ins and outs of both IP version four and IP version six addresses. An IP address is a unique address that identifies a device on the internet or a local network. IP stands for "Internet Protocol", which is the set of rules governing the format of data sent via the internet or local network. In essence, IP addresses are the identifier that allows information to be sent between devices on a network: they contain location information and make devices accessible for communication. The internet needs a way to differentiate between different computers, routers, and websites. IP addresses provide a way of doing so and form an essential part of how the internet works. Specifically, you'll learn how IP addresses are structured, the different categories of addresses, how addresses get assigned, and how an easy to remember name can be translated into an often harder to remember IP address. Also, this is a introductory course, we're going to take non-mathematical approach. Instead, I want you to get a solid conceptual understanding of IP addresses. When you're finished with this course, I hope you will understand all the basics of IP address.  I invite you to join me on this IP addressing journey. Let's get started.Thank you.
