MP4 | Video: h264, 1280x720 | Audio: AAC, 44100 Hz
Language: English | Size: 587 MB | Duration: 1h 20m

This is the first course to take after finishing your formal electrical engineering education

What you'll learn
Different features of industrial electrical panels
Standard color, materials and IP rating of industrial electrical panels installed inside factories
Why a resulting IP rating of an electrical panel might decrease if not taking all things into consideration
Three typical mechanical configurations of industrial electrical panels
Cable entry options with recommendations
Good engineering practice for cable entries - why a wire duct for the cables
Types of enclosures based on the installed equipment
What is a mixed type industrial automation electrical cabinet and why I find it to be the kind of all electrical cabinets
When not to place busbars and wire ducts across several cabinets - what is the issue here
Common element to be found on the door of an electrical cabinet
The ergonomy of an electrical panel - what is this and why is this important
Why to use two thermostats in an electrical cabinet - redundancy
The considerations when deciding where to mount a cabinet climate control system (fan)
Nice to have features - system light, service socket, limit switches and why
The only appropriate place for the wiring plan inside an electrical cabinet
Where to mount the neutral and ground busbars in a high power electrical enclosure
Recapitulation on the things we learned - on a real project with as build photos of electrical cabinets
Requirements
Background in electrical engineering (high school, college, university)
Description
Dear student,

you recently finished your electrical engineering education and you are now trying to figure out what the real world of electrical engineering looks like.

After filming over 20 electrical engineering courses, I've realized that I also was a beginner once and that I also was trying to understand the world after I finished my electrical engineering studies.

Our field of occupation mainly evolves around electrical cabinets. This is where the majority of our equipment find place and this is where you will conduct most of your work. Regardless whether you work in the maintenance or as a PLC programmer, or a designer or an electrician. Yes, we do have some cables going out that connect field devices to our equipment in the cabinet. We will still mostly need to work in and for our electrical cabinets.

The result of my wish to pass on my knowledge of electrical cabinets is this course.

This course will introduce the main features of industrial electrical cabinets to you starting from the basics (such as materials, IP rating and the color of cabinets used) and then going forward by presenting all the major accessories most industrial electrical cabinets (should) have.

I recommend this course to everyone that is interested in working in the electrical engineering field, since it is essentials to know the basics of electrical cabinets so that you recognize and remember what are the features your electrical panel should have.

Watch the introduction videos and free preview videos, learn the description of this course and the things you will learn and then, if you like what you see, enroll and in the course and let's start your learning experience.

As always with my courses, real-life oriented and with many examples from real-world projects and applications.

Wish you all the best and see you in the course!

Ivan Vidovic
