    Description
OBJECTIVEThe purpose of this course is for you to fall in love with the shaker, an instrument that has given so much to me musically and professionally. As we dive into the shaker my goal is to give you a few tools that will help you gain confidence on stage, in the studio or while jamming with some friends. WHO IS THIS FOR?This course will benefit a total beginner to percussion as well as those who are more seasoned musicians.  Perhaps you are a drummer wanting to expand your vocabulary, a producer that wants to track their own shakers instead of using generic samples, a singer that needs to add dimension to their acoustic shows during a solo, or a background singer that is tasked with unexpected percussive responsibilities… this is for all of you!WHAT TO EXPECT?Throughout this course we will go over different dynamics, articulations, feels & note rates, in addition to different accents and variations. I hope to expand your creativity by demonstrating over 60 different patterns that are easily applied to many musical situations. These patterns will be shown on screen to help you understand the material without feeling the pressure of having to memorize them, and they've been split into 4 distinct sets. After each set you will have the ability to hear them being played along to music. That way you can truly appreciate how each and every pattern has its own personality, as they interact with various instruments and vibes. I've also included a PDF of every pattern so that you can play along and apply them to many of your favorite songs. So join me and let's get started with the shaker, your new money maker!

This course is perfect of a very beginner, someone who has wanted to get into percussion but doesn't know where to being. Professional drummers can also use this to grow and expand. Singers who are literally thrown a shaker in a performance or studio will learn tons too. Also, producers that are tired of using generic sounds or loops that want to track their own… safe to say, I made this course as universal as possible!
