The Bible Lands Museum, Jerusalem, Israel marked the turn of the new millennium with its special exhibition, "Images of Inspiration: The Old Testament in Early Christian Art". The exhibition examined the use of Biblical imagery in the art of the first Christians and revealed how the Old Testament had provided an important source of inspiration for artists and artisans in Early Christianity. The exhibition traced the history of early Christian art. Shown were many fascinating examples of ancient art depicting Adam and Eve, Abraham and Isaac, Noah and other familiar scenes.
