I Color Dead People (with pencils)

    What you'll learn

In this course you will learn how to create amazing, creepy, undead skin tones using colored pencils.

    Requirements

    Basic coloring skills

    Description

In this course, you will work with three coloring pages created and provided by the artist, to learn how to color three types of undead characters. Together with Lisa, you will create a pale ghost bride, a strange Japanese water demon, and the green-skinned bride of Frankenstein. After completing this course, you'll be able to apply what you learned to all sorts of creepy and horror style coloring by any artist. Lisa Mitrokhin is a phenomenal artist, illustrator, author, tattooist, instructor, and YouTuber. She's here to share all of her professional secrets with you, and to guide you every step of the way. Remember that you can always reach out to her privately at any point during your learning journey, or post a public question in the Q&A section. This course is so much more than a color-along. Watch every lecture in order, and learn not just which tools to use, but why, and the theory behind what makes certain effects look spooky. Lisa's goal is to teach you how to make your own artistic decisions. She will teach you not just how she colors, but how she thinks. She believes that art is a conversation. She aims to teach you more than a handful of words and phrases, but rather the language itself - the language of art and color. She has kindly drawn and provided three coloring pages for this course, specifically designed to demonstrate each effect that she teaches. The free pages can be found in the Resources section of the Intro video. For this course, you will need paper and colored pencils. The exact materials that Lisa will use are:Strathmore 80lb grey toned paperGeneral's Brand white charcoalBlack Widow wax colored pencilsWhite gel penBlack marker
