Description
In this course, we learn the basic usage and advanced rules of the 12 English Tenses. This course is designed for intermediate or advanced English students, but if you are beginner or pre-intermediate, don't be shy. I believe that it is always a good idea to challenge yourself. The structure of the course is as follows. For each tense I present a slideshow explaining the form, usage and rules. This will be presented in the form of a video. I will be in the video guiding you along. There will be a short quiz at the end of each video. You are encouraged to take notes and complete the many prompts which I give throughout each video. This is useful because there is also a PDF of exercises following each video. This means that you can test your knowledge after having watched each video. Why are tenses useful? I have been a professional English teacher for over five years and, in my experience, tense-related mistakes are the most common mistakes that I hear from my students. There are many reasons for this. One reason is that the English tense rules do not necessarily translate to your native language. It is helpful to try and understand the English tenses on their own terms. I hope you find this course valuable. I made it for my students. During my lessons, students often ask me questions related to tense. In this course, all these questions (and more) will be answered. This course contains more than 2 hours of information. My private English lessons are usually half an hour or one hour in length. That means that for roughly the same price as one private English lesson, you can get over 2 hours of focused grammatical instruction. I appreciate your time and I wish you good luck studying! Cheers,Louis
