Being born on West 96th Street Manhattan, NY you can sure bet I saw some cool museums growing up. Without picking favorites per say, I was an enthusiast of these shows of dinosaur bones all the way through the High School of Art & Design ‘96 and beyond. To this day I rely on these local museums to draw inspiration and plain old give me something cool to draw.
In this work we will study how to make drawings of the full volume of the dinosaurs step by step. Each dinosaur will start with a light yellow gesture drawing and over the further steps fill in the mass with a dark maroon body and finish off with a heavy stroke for each bone of each dinosaur.
