    Il cimitero di guerra tedesco sul Passo della Futa
    Nel dicembre del 1955, la Germania ottenne dagli Alleati l'autorizzazione ad erigere monumenti ai propri Caduti. Fra i vari siti individuati, quello della Futa fu scelto perché si trovava sulla Linea Gotica, il fronte difensivo tedesco dove si sono svolte aspre e sanguinose battaglie con il maggior numero di morti.
    Il Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge incarica del progetto, nella primavera del 1959, l’architetto ed ingegnere Dieter Oesterlen di Hannover .
    Il progetto viene presentato al Comune di Firenzuola nel giugno del 1960. La realizzazione dell'opera ha inizio nel 1962 per terminare nel '67. L’inaugurazione si tiene il 28 giugno 1969.
