In this class we will go through the very basics of crochet:
1: Hook sizes, yarn types, and how to choose which one you need.
2: Learn how to make a slip knot and chain stitch.
3: Learn how to do the single crochet stitch.
4: Learn how to count your rows.
5: Learn how to change to a different yarn colour and use a stitch marker.
6: Learn how to finish off your work.
If you have never even picked up a crochet hook before, this is definitely the course for you. You will be given step by step instructions for each stage, along with clear video demonstrations.
We encourage you to share photos of your work in progress. This way you can gain feedback from other students and myself.
Crochet is a great way to relax and practice self care, and you get a unique piece of art at the end of every project. You can keep these for yourself, or give to friends and family as beautiful homemade gifts.
You will notice in the videos that I am left handed, but don't worry, if you are right handed you should still be able to follow the class. Just remember to do everything I do in reverse!
