Every time you see a pattern that has no borders, it's a seamless pattern.
You can repeat it indefinitely.
But very few people know how to create them, so they buy them instead. This can easily get expensive, plus the colors may be slightly wrong. Or the objects or images in those patterns may not be to your liking.
What You Will Learn
In this class, you’ll learn how to create your own seamless patterns. This way, your patterns will be unique, will fit your taste precisely, and you’ll save money.
You’ll learn about color schemes, and how to find them to make your patterns look awesome.
We’re going to use Affinity Photo, a program very similar to Photoshop. I use the Windows version of Affinity Photo, which is similar to the Mac version, except for the shortcuts (Mac has a Command key where Windows has a Control key.)
You don’t need any prior experience with the program. You don’t need to have any graphic skills, either. Just to enjoy the creative process.
You do need basic computer skills, like knowing how to create a folder, save or copy files, and find them again.
Once you’ve learned how to make your own seamless patterns, you can use them yourself for your projects, for notebooks, planners, digital frames, or printables. Or you can sell them to others.
