Computer Abbreviations HandBook

During my studies in computer science and working in this field for several years, I realized that computer dictionaries did not meet certain requirements of computer scientists for two reasons: either the terminologies are more or less outdated, or they are not not well developed.

The essential characteristic of this work, which is also its reason for being, is that a large part has been devoted to the development of abbreviations in computing, telecommunications, networks, management, administration and telematics. Connection topologies, access methods, transmission protocols, cable types and connectors are also developed. It is not just a translation of English words. Abbreviations relating to European Commission IT projects also appear in this manual.
This dictionary is intended for professionals working in the IT field, computer scientists by training, those interested with good knowledge of IT, as well as schools and IT service companies.

With more than 2500 abbreviations, the use of this dictionary by computer science students, advanced course teachers, consultants, researchers and engineers can undoubtedly provide assistance in promoting theoretical knowledge.
This book was written by the author initially in French with the name "Manuel des abréviations informatiques", then translated into English.
