    This is a course on “Competency-based Trainings" design, development and implementation. Competency based training is a specialized approach in training development which focuses on overall competency development i.e. development of knowledge, skills and attitudes required for a particular job, role or position, whereby success is evaluated based on practical competence demonstrated. It is different from the traditional approach which primarily focuses on knowledge acquisition and success is evaluated based only on assessment results. This course provides a step-by-step guidance on how competency-based training can be developed.

    This is an intermediate level course applicable to employees and jobseekers, from the training & development / learning & development function or to any professionals seeking to develop knowledge on the competency-based approach of training development. It covers examples and case-studies from various functions and industries like sales, marketing, customer service, IT technology, pharma, community health, education, etc. making it applicable to a wide range of learners.

    The full version of the course is divided into four modules, along with MCQ based tests after every lesson, and assessments and assignments after every module, for effective revision and grasp of course content. This section of the course covers module three with lessons on Competency-based Training Design, Development and Implementation. It covers the training development process stages, illustrated with the help of a detailed case-study from pharma, along with, how to evaluate CBTs for its effectiveness, outcomes & impact and what are the KPIs necessary for the same.
