This work intends to fit Chinese Herbal Medicine in the context of Traditional Chinese Medicine, establishing the possible parallelism with the terminology and concepts used in Conventional Medicine. It intends to systematize the general characteristics of the components used, classifying them according to their nature, pharmaceutical action, and structuring them in the formula for use in clinical practice.o understand the action joint of the components in the formulation, establishing the approach therapy of the syndrome in different sites of action, relating it with the characteristics of the components, action therapy, and function in the formula.For each of the syndromes formed, the frequently used components are indicated, and examples of classic formulas are explored.The approach, mostly in tables whenever possible uses the nomenclature in Chinese and to its correspondent in Latin, seeking to simplify the information making it integrated and noticeable.The exploration of the formulas is intended to be fluid and integrated so that the register can be used as an element of consultation or base of work.The work is intended to be transversal, between Conventional and Non-Conventional Medicine, enhancing the point of view of Pharmaceutical Technology in the health context, framing the pharmacist as an active actor.
