What you'll learn
Students will learn about the general beliefs, customs, habits, and practices that can be observed in American culture.
Students will learn about how the American English dialect is distinct and how it differs in spelling and grammar compared to other accents.
Students will learn about various cultural topics through the lens of English vocabulary, grammar, and writing to better learn English as a second language.
Students will become aware of what Hollywood, Thanksgiving, Basketball, Jazz, and American Football are and how they had a major impact on American culture.
Students will be tested on their knowledge of the course videos in these unique subjects and be asked to test their writing skills out in the assignments.

Description
In this 'Learn English through American Culture' course, you will learn:

What are the tenets of American culture and what is it made up of in terms of language, food, sports, music, and basic cultural practices / habits.

Making the most of learning these useful topics along with how to use your English knowledge to understand multiple cultural aspects of the United States.

How to pick up on different pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar tips when it comes to the American dialect and becoming familiar with different U.S. accents.

Receiving English practice through assignments for each topic for which you can improve your reading, writing, and listening skills to better grasp American culture.

Being patient with your English skills despite not being perfect but taking these video lessons and using what you know from them to become a better learner, being more prepared to live, travel, or work in the United States by knowing about these topics before you are to go there. Familiarizing yourself with these topics will help you integrate more with American society by knowing about cultural practices and habits.
