Blaine knows that it is time for him to propose to his girlfriend Megan. Over the course of dinner he musters the confidence to confess to Megan his deepest and darkest secret; his parents are the heads of a cult called the 'Order of Azoth' and he is the next in line to take over this position titled The Harbinger. He painfully describes to her all of the horrible things he has been subjected to through his childhood from being put in charge of online recruitment of other kids to exploit up to the point of taking the fall for his parents disgusting acts so his parents wouldn't get in trouble.
Megan also has a secret to reveal to Blaine, she is aware of who he and his parents are. She was abused and manipulated as a child by his parents and was arranged to be his future wife. Megan confesses to Blaine that it was no coincidence how they met.
If Blaine can forgive Megan for years of deception Megan knows that they can work through their childhood trauma together and can right the wrongs of their family as the new Harbingers of the Order of Azoth.
Which of course means ridding the Order of Azoth of all of those members who have profited from the exploitation of children for all of those years.
